Unit Managers
Working on a well site either offshore or onshore. Must be responsible for total supervision and coordination of the mud logging unit and crew on the well site.

Responsibilities:

1. The unit manager will work in the gulf coast areas of Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama. This will include onshore and offshore assignments.

2. The unit manager will operate and maintain a computerized mud logging unit to DWL standards and to the customer’s standards.

3. The unit manager will operate the mud logging unit in the safest possible manner. Daily safety meetings, JSA reviews and attend and be proactive with rig safety meetings.

4. The unit manager will deliver to the customer/client complete and “on time” written and verbal reports during the drilling process.

5. The unit manager will evaluate formations drilled and report all hydrocarbon shows, abnormal pressure ramps and information pertinent to the safe drilling of the well.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more mud logging experience
  • BS degree or 2 years of college preferably in Chemistry, Geochemistry, Geology, Physics. General studies degree is acceptable with 5 + years of oil field experience
  • preferred in mud engineering, MWD, and well site geology.
  • Excellent computer skills are required in conjunction with pore pressure and data engineering skills/experience.
